Programming

For quite a few years now I have taken an interest in programming. Programming languages I have learnt (am trying to currently learn) are:

Following are some links to other pages about programs I either have written myself, or in colaboration with others.

Jaws for Windows Scripts

Following are some scripts I and others have written in the JFW Scripting Language to make Jaws work better with some programs.

Jaws for Windows is one of many Screen Readers that allows a blind of vision impaired person to use a computer. More about Jaws can be found at www.freedomscientific.com

Adobe Audition JFW scripts

Written by myself and James Teh, and contributed to by others such as Victer Tsaran, these scripts make Adobe Audition quite accessible with Jaws. Adobe Audition is a multi-track sound editor.

JFW Technical

JFW Technical is a tool written in the Jaws Scripting Language that allows you to navigate and check the accessibility of any program you are thinking about writing your own Jaws scripts for. It is not just some extra key commands, but a whole system generated in the Jaws vertual buffer.

Python

The Rockbox Voice Labels utility

Here is a little python script I have written, that uses lame and sapi in windows to traverse a directory structure on an external drive that is part of an audio player running the rockbox software, that generates voice label files for both files and directories, so that someone can navigate the directory structure on the player with out having to read the screen.

audiobraille

This program converts electronic braille (ascii characters) in to sound, using pitch and stereo positioning to denote the dots.

Speakup drivers

speechdup2 - not hear yet

This is a driver I wrote that allows speakup a Screen reader for Linux, to use Speech-Dispatcher as one of its software synthesizers.

voiceup - not hear yet

This is another driver I wrote that allows speakup a Screen reader for Linux, to use IBM Viavoice as one of its software synthesizers.
